Things I Say

Do not squish her!

I don't care if she likes it! You cannot jump on her head like that!

Why is there a doll in the toilet?

Hmmm I don't think the toilet is where doll's like to take baths.

Okay Hulk where is the doll's head? I've told you not to take them off!

Why are there muffins in your dresser drawer?

Please only keep food in the kitchen. We don't hide it in our drawers or the closet or anywhere else.

Making It

We made it thru our first weekend as a family of three. I was a little bit worried about two days straight alone with two toddlers but it went incredibly well. In fact in some ways it was easier having two than just having one. The kiddos really entertain one another which means I'm able to cook and do the tons of laundry they produce.

Heading to school/daycare today was a bit overwhelming for miss firecracker. She has never been to daycare before and was a little scared. She was not happy about me leaving her this morning but she ended up having a good day. It took her awhile to warm up but she had fun. And during outdoor play time she got to see Hulk so all was well. I guess they spend all their time together during playtime which is kinda sweet. Even though she is older he kind of helps her along. I wish I had taken my camera with me because this morning when she got upset before we went in the school he took her hand and said "I show you where to go. It's okay". They held hands all the way in the building. Such a sweet boy!

Okay I'm off to bed. These children wear me out!!!

Then There Were Two

Hulk has a biological sister that is 13 months older than he is. Her name is Amara but I'll probably be calling her Firecracker on the blog. Anyways Amara is now staying with us for a bit. Her mama is having some problems right now so we are happy to give her a nice place to stay for a bit. She has an hilarious personality, a ton of energy and a lot of love to share. She and Sylas have hit it off and spend the majority of the day laughing. I'm learning all about "girlie" things and have even allowed pink into the house. Today I found a boa feather on the floor and tripped over a pair of play high heels so I think there is a girl officially in the house! This has been a whirlwind adventure and I'm sure it will continue to be so. I just keep praying for guidance and keep taking it a day at a time.
